Aluminum Block Thresh hold heres my question: yes the stock internals and what not can hold a retarded amount of power. at what power/boost level do the cylinders in an LSx motor turn into egg shaped puzzle peices? im asking now because i dont wanna go ahead in the future, build an alum. block...put boost on it, get hooked and end up turning the thing into a nyc art gallery hunk of junk.

W2W had some good information on this as well. Give Kurt a call and tell him what kind of power you are looking to make...he can discuss what they have seen with some of the high hp aluminum testing that they have done.
If I remember correctly he said that they started to see some movement in the aluminum blocks around 1100-1200 hp. This was with the LS1 blocks, from what I have heard the LS2s are a little stronger.
