Is anybody runing a 372 or 375 with. I never see anybody running this combo.It is cheap to do and would be strong.It should put good hp numbers to.How come i never here of anybody with it?

I'm running a 372 stroker..used a Scat Crank..Square Motor..It was cheap to build.I'm running a solid roller set up with ported LS6 Heads and 1.9 Rockers..Tore the motor apart trying to find why my trap speed was 119MPH.The bottom end looked great..spun the motor to 7500RPMs.My Heads flowed terrible.I know where the problem lies <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I'm now leaning towards a sponcer on the board for better heads.This car should run easy 10's here soon <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Is anybody runing a 372 or 375 with. A lot of the Mallett Corvettes run a 372 LS1 stroker motor. 3.90" bore X 3.90" stroke right? "Square" engines are supposed to be pretty tough aren't they?

I was thinking more like a stock crank with a .030 or a .060 6.0l block.I think the 4030 bore would make good power.It seems to be common to make 420 rw with a heads and cam setup so a 372 "should make 15 to 20 more hp with more tourqe and a longer rpm spread. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I have GTP stage 2s and i think im going to put them on a 372.

Re: Is anybody runing a 372 or 375 with. I had looked at doing the same thing, a 6.0L block, .040 over with the stock crank and maybe some longer rods..depending on piston deck. I would love to do it, but I have to sell my car soon, so......let me know how it turns out.
