my friend (mechanic) is doing the install for free, so i dont have to worry about all the work of install, lol. all i really want is a setup to run mid to high 12's in my A4. and to kill my friends with turbo cars when they want to do a "freeway run"

gears/stall/valvetrain (ls6 valves especially!) and you got a very nice setup with PERFECTLY normal drivability.
with the z06 cam i got 364rwhp/349rwtq through stock headers, stock stall, stock 99 heads, ls6 intake, stock cats, heavy 17x11s and 3.73 gears.
idles at 550rpm. pulls past 6500rpm. suprises the crap out of ppl

dont let them discourage you. 125 for cam and springs is a heck of a deal, especially with free install. I have full bolt-on and LS6 cam and run 12.3x @ 115.5 consitently with a 01 m6 with regular street tires. If you have the money, go with a bigger cam. My main concern was durability, and this cam and (ls6) springs are good for 100k+.

I'm doing the same swap. I've done lots of research and about 80% of people go for bigger cams, like the TR224. I don't want my car to sound like it has a cam and I don't want to change my valvesprings every 20-30K, plus I want stock drivability and durability. Yes, you will give up some power, but to me it's worth it. Look at what other mods will give you 20-30 RWHP for $200, none.
Besides, even if you decide to change out the cam, you already have the LS6 springs installed, so you can just swap in somthing like a Comp cams 216/220 or a little bigger for just the cost of the cam.

You cant go wrong for that price!!! Id do it! You'll likely give up 15-20rwhp over a more aggresive cam, but you will never have to worry about valvesprings etc...and you can literally get away with telling people its stock with exhaust.

what springs are they? you said comp cam springs so i'm just a little curious.
you can't really beat what kind of power you're going to gain for 125, period - unless you find a nitrous kit for 125. I personally went for a bigger cam but I also spent north of 600 bucks for the whole package. This game ain't cheap
