I have a set of PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads that I've been comparing to a set of Patroit Stage 2 LS6 heads that a friend brought us to fix. Regardless of flow numers, there is no comparison in the the quality of the two. The PRCs are finished much nicer in my opinion and the CNC port looks better than the Patriots. The Patriots also have cut the stock seat to fit a 2.055 intake valve, which is too big for the stock seat......looks like they might fall out to me. So for the price, the PRC is a much nicer product in my opinion.

AFR has its own casting, while most patriot heads are GM castings, some with weld filled chambers to reduce combustion chamber. Patriot also offers their own castings. The AFRs (and ETP heads) are absolutely top notch when you need to squeek out every last HP, but theyre going to cost you. With patriot, you can get plenty of performance out of their heads, with a MUCH smaller price tag. Personally, I cant see spending more than double the price for only 5% - 10% higher flow. However if i was in a different financial situation, my views would be different.

From all of the dyno results posted,it doesn't show that AFR and ETP makes more HP than PRC or other heads.I have saw a video clip of a 11deg 215 runner ETP head flowing only 295@.600 on a 4.03 bore.Just because a company is offering an aftermarket casting doesn't make them better.

All of our LS6 style heads have new seats installed in them. A factory seat can be used for up to a 2.04" valve if you want to push the seat to the limit. We however, have always took the extra step and installed new seats in any head being fitted with valves larger than 2.02"/1.57".

AFR heads are an aftermarket casting. We will soon be releasing our own Predator castings. Our Predator heads will have a thick deck surface, beefed up rocker and springs pads, 3 runner versions, and custom chambers that are made to your specs. As with our LS6 style heads, these custom chambers will be done by CNC maching and not by milling the heads. These, like our current OEM heads, will be very high quality and comparible in performance and flow to other aftermarket heads available. Pricing on these heads will be less than the heads in the same class.

Dont get me wrong, the TSP guys are good guys as well. Theyll take care of you as well, however theyre distracted in many directions. Gunnar eats, breathes and dreams cylinder heads. The support he gives even way after the sale is legendary.

Gunnar has a great reputation for customer service, and they have some good heads. I wouldn't count TSP out tho, they have some wicked CNC programs over there and I want to say their CNC detail is a little better than Patriot - but don't quote me on that.
Get some side by side price quotes, and then compare dyno graphs of cars that have similar setups. That should help you decide fairly quickly. Both companies have great CS.

I'd say patriot offers better deals and customer service, but I'd say PRC offers a better head. With that being said I'd go with Patriot because Gunner's an awesome guy and the differences should only be marginal. A budget head is going to be a budget head, I'd go on customer service, price and reputation.

The Corvette ZO6 is a "budget" car, so they used "budget" heads. It's not like it's America's sportscar with a 50+ year heritage. Naaa, "budget" all the way! Uh huh.

I won't spend a lot of time talking different products, just look at recent results in the dyno section I think you'll like the PRC results

If you're putting improved ZO6 heads on an f-body, how can they be budget heads, except for the COST relative to small niche aftermarket cyclinder head businesses? How could a small business compete with a monster like GM in a price war? They can't.
It just seems that people who have spent a lot of money on heads need to put down LS6 heads to feel like they got their money's worth. Straight up, that's the way it seems to me. Sorry if I offended anyone.
