Default How much oil can be losed through the dip stick inlet

I just installed my headers and forgot to put the dip stick tube back in in my ls1 01 ws6 I was just wondering how much oil I lost you think and if it is safe to drive my car back up to the garge to get it I drove around all day with the tube out I noticed oil on the drive way thats what made me remember. I have not noticed a drop in oil pressure.

i wouldn't chance it. but as long as the entire bottom of your car isn't coated oin oil you probably didn't lose much.

Id throw another quart in for good measure. People run 7qt's in f-bodies so you should be just fine.

^ 7 quarts?

Anyways - the dipstick hole on my grand am was leaking for a while... in a 250-mile trip I lost about 0.5qt, maybe 1.0 at the max. The worst part was that the underside of the car was coated in oil

Yeah with 5 1/2 quarts I am at the top of the fill line. That's using the larger oil filter m1-206.

well, that will make oil changes easier....whole case down the hatch. I burn a little anyway, so this might be a good thing.
