The porting in those pictures isn't near as good as someone like Patriots.

Porting looks half *** on the "blended bowls" IMO... Just remember you get what you pay for.

Those guys did a set of stage 2 243's for me that rocked. They looked nothing like the crap on that ebay link. They were 232cc stock valve 243's that flowed 308 cfm @.600 on a 3.9 bore. I had them flowed on 3 separate benches and they were all within 3 points. Ask for Jay.

I wouldnt touch those in the ebay link. You can get full on CNC ported ls6 heads for a couple hundred more bucks that will put a killing on these things.

We can do you a set of 243 CNC ported castings that flow great. A price on a bare set with 227cc runners will be $895.00 shipped to you anywhere on the US.

I have just started my head and cam search, so if I am sounding a little ignorant, please be kind. I've heard that your intake runner size might be to big (slows velocity) for a stock ci LS1. Is that true? Is there a runner size I should be looking for depending on my application (cam etc.) Thanks

That's very true. There seems to be a fine line of flow versus velocity. With stock cubes, you don't want to hog out the intake and exhaust runners because the velocity will likely slow down even though you'll have great flow numbers. Call up a few reputable sponsors and they'll set ya straight for what heads to get. I went with Patriots and so far couldn't be happier.

The majority of our customers run these heads on stock LS1's. Our intake runner size is 227 +/-. The factory runner we start with is 210-214. Matching everything to your application is very important. Give us a call and we can go over your set up.
