Did you happen to see our videos? Did it sound the same? The sound is very distinct and identical in nature between our different cars.

I'm getting all my stuff together to yank mine back out but want to hear if the cam fixes your problems, so I don't replace the lifters for nada.

I'm scheduled to pull it in a few hours, but it's looking like Fedex may have lost the package. Zero tracking updates on it in an entire day. It was scheduled to be here yesterday.

And now it's weekend and of course, the 25 degree air is coming back next week. My only window is tomorrow and Sunday, so if I don't get it tomorrow, then it's going to have to wait until April.

Worst winter since '96. I can't take it anymore.

It sounds exactly like your video, but I believe mine is coming from my Maggie. I've never owned a Magnacharger before, so I was unfamiliar with the sound.

UPDATE

CAM MOTION CAM SOLVED THE ISSUE. I got the cam in, attached the things that needed to be attached, and gave it a quick start. Full assembly tomorrow.

I really hope this puts an end to arguments. Its now pretty obvious something is indeed different and or wrong with some companies cores. I honestly hope comp will view this and the other thread and address the QC issues. Its going to be really hard to dispute that theres "nothing up with comp cams" now that there is first hand proof a new cam cut by another company fixed the issues

Nice glad to see it fixed the problem. I got my comp cam out today. The lobes do look rough. Installed a btr cam (comp) that was made 6 month ago. Hopefully it's better. The finish on this one is smoother.

Thats awesome Martin gives great CS from what I hear. But that doesnt change the the issues with the whinning core since it does in fact look like its a desigtn flaw from comp that many suffer from. hopefully the new one is better though

yes he does, when i first mentioned the whining cam to him over a month ago he immediatlely stated that he would replace it free of charge if it was found that it was the cam itself that was making the whine. Cant beat service like that.

My arguments fell on deaf ears for a while and I was called crazy by a lot of people. This thread helped out tremendously. Hopefully with the videos we have now, and the fact that another companies cam fixed the issue, it gets properly addressed now from the start.

It should be noted that mine were Lunati cams, but I believe most of the companies use the same cores. My Cam Motion core was not hollow, it was solid.

Any idea why there is less exhaust lift? Quieter lobe?
