Default cam for stock heads

What cam complements stock 843 heads on 2000 block, Ls6 intake and midlength headers? Is it possible to make 400 hp through an m6 with this set up and still be drivable? Ported mass air and tb soon to come?

Well, driveability is all in ones own tolerence, first you must ask yourself what are you willing to put up with. Second, are you wanting to just make 400 rwhp or be fast.......i say this because you dont race dynos, and have seen some cars with around 380 rwhp destroy ones over 400 simply because of well thought up combinations and GREAT torque curves. maybe if the race went on a little longer then the other car may have caught up but on the street it may be too late. Most of my races are on the street, because i daily drive my car, and most never go a full quarter. Thats why i am goin with a cam that make GREAT power under the curve not one that makes a peak HP number that looks good. Not knockin huge cams but sometimes bigger IS NOT always better......especially on a stock head. Look at my 89 GT in sig, the cam in it is only .575 lift and not even as big as a most cams you see on this board, but it goes deep in the 9's

8GTOKLR is that one of the Vinci Crane grinds, I have one of their cams and have heard great things bout their performance and torque curves

And no, i think that cam would be in no means too big. Really good for a DD
