Default What do you guys think of this combination

1. slp lid
2. ram air mod
3. K&N filter
4. Tr55 Plugs
5. MSD 8.5 wires
6. ported TB
7. LS6 intake
8. TR224 cam kit 112 lobe separation because it suppose to have better driving midrange but a rough idle. Need opinions on 112 or 114.
9. springs and pushrods
10. stainless works headers and ORY with borla catback exhaust
11. custom tune
12. LS6 clutch set up
I'm trying to make a high 11 second car with a ls1 NoS plate system set on 125. Run the stock 3.42 gear M6. I want this set up to be durable enough to run the entire power tour this year. Any cam or combinations welcome before I spend money. I want good drivability with at least 370 to the rear wheels of the NOS. Can this be done with the set up above or can I run the TR220 and get the same number. Car is bone stock now except for lid and plugs and wires thanks for the help

that sounds about right...you'll make good power and you should be able to last morea than a few power tools.

As fopr driveability, well, with a good tune, you can have a cam up in the 230 duration range, 112lsa and still be very driveable!

good luck!!

Great DD combo and a runner too. I ran that exact combo for 3 years on a 112, stainless works headers and all. Fine with 3:42 gears. Stick with the 224 over the 220 IMHO.

so the 112 will work better than the 114 on the street. The tech card on the website said the 112 had the best midrange but the 114 idle better. any help on deciding lobe separation.

did you have any problem with the stainless works headers. I will be using this car for lots of business travel also so I really need the gas mileage to be decent. what will you get on the highway

Awesome headers. Gas mileage depends on how much your foot is in it. I used to get about 26 highway, but I had heads too.

that seem to be what I get now viper. I have a friend in huntsville that owns a performance shop and sells stainworks headers. I have a budget of 3000.00 dollars. he told me that he would port my tb on a lafhe and polish by hand. install a ls6 intake. cam and valve train. install a ls6 clutch set and hyd cylinder, install headers and custom dyno tune for 1000.00 labor. So I have 2000.00 to spend on mods. Whats kind of hp did you make . We will be using hp tuners

I ran the TR 224/224 114 LSA with spray and ran LOW 12s on street tires in a 6sp 01 TA. It was VERY streetable and pulled strong all the way to 6800rpms.
