Nobody knows yet what the dates are. Mine and atleast 4 other futral cams were from last years group purchase from march and april. Also not sure the blower / whistle sound is detrimental or not. Hopefully itll all some out in the wash. Theres lots of talk about oiling being the problem because of the smaller base circle, but I dont hold too much stock in that since it would affect all cam manufacturers equally that use similar sized basecircles. So far everythings still up in the air. I wouldnt worry too much about it, just concentrate on your *** over there.

thanks lol, but its hard when my heart is back home and could have something wrong with her hell its in the shop right now waiting for my new clutch to come in. my slave cylinder blew so i think it may have fouled my current one up, since it would take 2 weeks for the rebuild, i had to get a new one. on the bright side, i sent my old one in to get rebuit and then i have a spare no more worries about hard launches!

I put a Cam Motion grind in my car, and had the blower whine. It started at about 12-1300 rpm and continued on up. I recently swapped the CC cam back in, and the whine went away. Has to be something Cam Motion is doing. I was planning to mike the cam today as compared to the stock cam and inspect the lobes more closely. Will let ya'll know what I see.

Edit: I put my Cam Motion cam in Feb 22, 2006. I received it in the beginning of February, 06.

My F14 has whined since I installed it in January of 05. Most of my LS1 buddies are actually envious, cause it sounds kinda cool. Throws people off...

I hope it's not related to these recent failures. No doubt, it is something funky with the cam. As long as it keeps working...I'm cool.

GOD DARN! I just looked at my records.... 3-22-05. Guess time to check mine out. What is being done with this if you have a bad cam?
