My cam'd LS1 at idle
I am just learning how to post vids an came across this one. This was the day I had it dyno tuned - I love the idle of this cam! Nothing exciting to see here - lol - I can't wait to get it started again this Spring!

That C1 cam does sound pretty tough. I wonder why it sounds tougher than the TR224 112? The TR is bigger and has more duration......... Must have something to do with the valve events at lifts other than .050.

That video was done prior to the tune (you can see it is at the dyno to be tuned) still sounds nasty though even after the tune. A little credit goes to no cats and the Corsa exhaust. I get a lot of thumbs up for sure! Thanks for the compliments. I will get a video of the dyno up soon.

I may be wrong but the reason it sounds tougher is because it uses xe lobes or something very close to it(like my cam, and our cars sound nearly identical)
If I am not mistaken, xe lobes are a little harder to tune and have a slightly lower quality idle and driveability.
Thus producing more of a stumble/rough sounding/tougher sounding idle....thats my take on it.And of course being untuned.
If you can give the gross duration to compare your duration at 50 we could figure out if my hypothesis is true

Here is the dyno chart - if I can get my camera to work I will add the dyno run vid.
It is all about power under the curve. There are cams with more peak horsepower for sure but I like the power this one brings to the street. You do not have to drive it like you stole it! The tuner said it had a few more horsepower left in the tune but I was happy where it was. It is on a pretty conservative tune and I have not had any problems. It could definitely be a daily driver if you wanted.

Your car definately sounds nice! Looks like she put down good numbers. I am having a problem of recording our car because the cam keeps overloading our camera's microphone and washing out the sound, but it sounds close to yours (although we have the X1 not the C1).
