Default Mahle Pistons, H-Beam Rods On Ebay??

No luck using the search function since it's not 100% anymore..

Have anyone bought this setup off of ebay: H-Beam Rods, Mahle Pistons? If so, any feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm considering it since it seems like a good deal.

I was looking at this yesterday, I couldnt think of anything bad about it them but I would like to know what brand of rod that they are. As far as the Mahle pistons, they pretty much speak for themselves. I hope this helps but I think I am as confused as you are.

Keep in mind that the stock pistons in our cars are Mahle.

I think he's talking about the forged pistons. Different animal than stock.

Default Deal or not??

^ According the package, the pistons and rods are FORGED. I'm sure someone here has bought it or knows about it through word of mouth..

Mahle are quality items and used around the world. I used them in my last engine.

No idea what rods those guys are selling though. Probably an SBC rod, that happens to fit the LS1 too, which is why its so cheap.

there really is no problem using the SBC rods in that package for an LS1 build. i have seen it done in a couple of builds. you have to remember the LS1 crowd is the new kid on the block. the SBC stuff has years of R&D on us. I am thinking very seriously about getting that package for my build up.

I ran these for a while and they work very well for the price and can handle a lot of abuse. I ofcourse handed mine to much I haven't torn it down yet, but I thing I may have a few busted up ringlands due to some sever detonation not parts related. Hope this answers your question.
