cam looks like it should make pretty good numbers. Reminds me of the G5x2 but with a slightly smaller exhaust, and it seems you have all the supporting mods to go with it. Only thing i could see adding is a ported TB, just make sure you get a set of good dual springs, etc., and a ported oil pump prolly would be a good idea.

ya im getting a LS6 oil pump, LS2 timing chain, and all the springs, retainers etc. I just wanted to make sure this cam would be pretty good for a 6 speed. I wanted something that has a pretty lopey idle and something that performs good..so hopefully thats what i get.

well looks like you're good to, that cam should lope pretty good, and make good power to 6500.

you will be very satisfied with that cam. I ran a comp 230/236 592 602 lift on a 114 LSA and put down 390 to the wheels through a 12 Bolt and a 3600 Stall

Just and update for you guys, im kinda having second thoughts on this cam now. im thinking that it might not lope enough for me. In the vid he showed me it loped good, and sounded awesome, but he had his cutout open. Is going to have a full exhaust minus cats gonna make it sound alot different with not as much of a lope? I know that it is a stupid question but i had to post it..

Well the lope itself won't change... the tone of it will change, and you may not be able to hear the pauses of the duration due to the muffling... when you get it tuned set idle to 600 and it'll lope it's *** off

You don't want to drop your idle unless you have that thing geared.
BTW: You will have 7* of overlap with that cam. It will have some lope to it...trust me.

(I was pretty much kidding, hence the )

Like I said... the lope itself won't change, it will just make it louder. But that will make it more noticable and may sound better to you. I'd just go with a good true dual catless setup and call it a day.

But with the borla's and lt's it should be plenty loud and lopey. Like orange said... 7* of overlap is definitely noticable

..i will have my exhaust done next week. then i will be ready for a cam. i can't wait. my custom grind only has 23* of overlap so it should make for a nice smooth idle...

more importantly, it will f'n scream on top end. i just hope i can get the guy i want to tune my car...because after he sees my cam card i think he'll slap me.

wait im confused..so is it the more * or overlap the lopier it will be? so like a cam with 10* will have more lope then a cam with 6*? I just wanna make sure i get this right. Also how do u know how much overlap the cam has?

You are right. For instance. The T-Rex has 25* of overlap. That is why it is non-streetfriendly for one.

Well It is not friendly to some people. I would DD that thing everyday in 105* weather with a/c on full blast and bumper to bumper traffic!
