Default Prc Stage 2 Dart Heads

Was just checking ptv and the intake valve cut through the clay and left a little mark in the piston.I have a tsp torquer 2 cam and cometic .045 gaskets on a stock short block.Anyone else with these heads and have ptv problems because I thought they said the ms3 would clear.

What are your cam specs?
With bigger than stock valves the Trqr V2 should be on a 113+0, then it will clear up to 2.04

I am running the PRC Darts and the MS3 with stock gaskets and have good PTV. Maybe your heads are milled.

With the torquer cam (1st generation profile) 233\233 .595\.595 112 +2 and the 225 dart heads with 2.02 1.60 size valves is there going to be problem or will I have to notch the stock pistons..

Cam is 113+0 I do think they were milled because when I first ordered them about 2 months ago I asked them to mill them to 11.1 because I was going to run stock head gaskets. After doing some reading 2 weeks later I cancelled the milling and ordered .045 gaskets .I going to call and find out right now.

The clay is not really that great of a method of checking p/v. The head gaskets aren't helping clearance, but I have noticed a difference on valve drop between some of the dart heads. Honestly I think running a stock gasket would be the best bet. We just started using a completely new CNC valve job system that will not only set depths perfect everytime, they will even blend the valve job & cut it with virtually no runout! If you have extra time I would have no problem using the new cnc machine to cut a valvejob on the head & sink those valves a few extra thou to get you some p/v back!

The standard Stage 2 CNC ported dart heads we ship use Darts valve job.

Check and find the problem, you what about .080 clearance or more.
Check that the cam is degree in correctly.
Dart 225 may not have as much clearance as their 205.

I turned the motor over by hand and everything went smoothly and didn't hit. I am not sure the exact # and I also have my pistons slightly eyelashed on the intake side do to a lot of over-revin in my last set-up
