Default Should I return my F13?

Hey guys. I bought an F13 back in December 05. Cam is still in the box (waiting on more money for springs and pushrods). I never really paid much attention to the lobes on the cam until all the fuss over the lifters going bad and whatever. So i look at my cam and i can indeed see the "fine tooling marks" on all the lobes . This really makes me uncomfortable. I know Allen said something about sending the faulty cams back to have them "fixed" but i don't know if i want to do that or not. I'm tempted to send the cam back and get a refund, then go with the TSP 233 239 or the MS3. Does this sound like the best thing to do or should i just get the F13 fixed? Thanks

BTW mods are in sig.

Call Futral, tell him that you're always on LS1tech and you've read about the "fine tooling" issues. I need to get my cam issue resolved and then I can post back about the great service and concern you've showed.

These guys know that their whole reputation is built & BUSTED on this website. I'm sure Futral will make sure you're satisfied. He may just exchange the cam for a new one.

If you get the issue fixed I'd keep the F13. It's a proven performer. -Joshua

I agree. Alan said he would be willing to look at cams with issues, and would possibly either regrind / pollish them, or replace. The f13 is a great cam, so Id try and go with that again if you can.

This entire process will probably take about another 2-3 months though... dang. lol oh well. Thanks for the responses guys. Much appreciated. Would it be better to call Futral or email Allen? JW

Take your time...2-3 months is ok. You're still short on money to get springs and pushrods, and there's more you need to buy: gaskets, crank bolt, fluids, locktite, some tools that you might not have....

Futral is a great company and stick with F13 !

Just checked my email . Futral sent an email saying they'd be more than happy to polish my cam for me. That's what i call a fast response. I'll be shipping the cam out to them this week definitely. You're right AdamSS, still need more money, but i already have the gaskets, fluids, etc... just need springs and pushrods. Futral rocks hands down .

I got a tune after I got my LT's, but i definitely plan on getting another tune after the cam is in. I'm hoping for some good numbers, but with a stalled A4, you never know . haha
