Default Torquer 2 vs. Magic stick?

I am shopping around for a new cam to replace my 224/224 .581/.581 on a 112 cam. I was wondering which of these cams, the torquer 2 or the ms3 would be a better choice? The car is mostly street driven, but not daily. What would you guys do? I will be installing the cam myself again but only with dual springs this time. Any tips on installing the dual springs? anything different? Also, will my 7.4 pushrods work with both of these cams? My heads are stock untouched. Thanks.

What year car? Do you have rodbolts? Do you have gears? How high do you want to spin? How agressive a cam are you willing to deal with in terms of drivability?

car is a 2001 WS6 M6. Stock bottom end meaning bolts and all. Gears are stock for now but saving for either a 9" or a 12 bolt with most likely 4.10's. What do you mean by drivability? Also, considering im spinning to 6600 now the way the cams are spec'd out on the TSP site I shouldn't be spinning much over that right?

it all comes down to what you want out of your car. both cams can be made streetable with a good tune.

I will get my tuning done at TTP so thats no question for good tuning. What about the driveability though?

2001+ cars came with stronger rod bolts. I have a 6800 rev limit set on my 2002 car. 4.10s would make both cams behave, but its almost mandatory for the ms3. As far as drivability, the bigger cam will buck and surge more, as well as have less off-idle torque. Youll have to slip the clutch a little more.

I wouldnt mind a little bucking and surging, my car does that now, I dont think i got a very good tune from my last tuner, but ill leave them unnamed. How would driving it be with the stock 3.42?

I've heard of a few people running the ms3 on 3.42's without many problems ... I guess it all comes down to the tolerance of what is acceptable. But it has been done on a few occasions

I just swapped from a TR224 to the Torquer v2... After an excellent tune it does buck/surge more than the TR224 un-tuned. I have 3.73 gears and I have to slip the clutch a little more at initial start otherwise it bogs and has virtually no acceleration until 1,500rpms. If I had to drive my car daily through traffic I would have never bought this cam.

As for the fun factor- man, it doesn't get much better You can click on the link in my sig for the dyno graph - The tuner wanted to set the limiter to 6,800 but I was more comfortable w/ 6600.

i would say look at the torquer v2, Trak, or the F14 they will all give you a nice upper gain over your 224, but still wont give up much in the low/mid to the your current cam.
