Default Lifter bering need help

Ok put a new short block in last fall. Changed everything but the lifters. Yesterday when I was driving I noticed a slight ticking sound coming from the passenger side of the motor sounded like one valve ticking. Today I go to change the oil and there is about 10 lifter berings ( at least that is what i think they are), on the drain plug maginet. The car ran fine no power loss ect. What would be the chance that I messed up the lobe on the cam? I obviously will have to take the heads off and replace them. Will stock lifters be ok with a 224/224 .570/.570 lift cam from Thunder racing with the stiffer than stock springs that come with the kit?

check your rockers, they could be from a rocker.

You know what I didnt even think of that. What is the chance of them getting to the bottom of the oil if its from the rockers.

Very possible. Quite common, in fact.

Really are the oil drain passages big enough for thoes berings? And thanks for your help. You think I would have heard a louder noise if it was a lifter

yeah, search the archives its been talked about on here many times. THe fix is to get aftermarket rockers, or better yet send your stockers (or buy used stockers off of ebay) to Nate @ Nasty Performance to do the Harland Sharp Mod ($250), which replaces the trunion with a better designed piece.

he means rockers not lifters. Its a common problem for the stock rocker to fail and leave bearings in the oil pan...
