I am doing my head install and can't seem to disconnect the stupid EVAP line. It is a black plastic line with a grey plastic clip of some type. How the heck do you release the clip???

 

Push in on the little retaining clip and pull. After a few tries you will get it.

 

Well, as much as I hate to admit it, it has been two hours and still can't figure it out and my fingers are now sore as hell. Can you be more specific? The clip appears split, do I push on the top or bottom where the split is or on the side?

 

From this figure, should I be squeezing in the 1 or 2 direction?

 

Don't squeeze on both sides. The #2 that is on the left in the pic...push in on that one side only and pull the line off.

Not a problem.....GM can be a tricky little bastard. It's the small stupid stuff you can't figure out that kills ya.

 

Push in on the goofy side. This thread saved me from an hour of swearing!
