What Im questioning is why you would consider more than just the cam? Of course the car with the better supporting mods is going to put down more power. I just dont follow your logic on comparing cars.

I didn't say anything about comparing different cars, read it again.

I said SAME car, because you don't change more than one variable (the cam). By doing the comparison on the same vehicle, you can compare the performance of two cams with a given set of mods.

In other words, the car and it's mods don't change, only the cam.

You sounded like you said the same thing ("echo").

Youre saying one thing and then now youre saying the complete opposite.

If you want to compare cams, dont change any other variables. That means use the same car with the same mods. Its as simple as that.

WERD. IM saying if you take the hotcam out and put the 224 or 228 etc. etc. in the SAME car, I would put every dime I have on the fact that the 224 or 228 will make more power.

Which is EXACTLY what I said.

Your original quote sounded like you were comparing different cars. My mistake for misunderstanding you.

Right, read what I wrote:

"I agree that if you stick a TR224 in the same car"

How hard is it to understand "same". Here's some help:

same
adj.
Being the very one; identical: the same boat we rented before.
Similar in kind, quality, quantity, or degree.
Conforming in every detail: according to the same rules as before.
Being the one previously mentioned or indicated; aforesaid.

****.
Someone or something identical with another.
Someone or something previously mentioned or described.

Sound familiar??? Wonder where you got your wording from:

True 224 will make more power, although not much more than the hot cam. All I know is I've never been "walked" by a 224 cammed car. All of the races were close. I'm satisfied with the numbers I've put down with the hot cam. They are similar numbers to 224 cams.

My dyno results:

Ditto what he said , do the 22x cams make more power on the DYNO yes if they are tuned and some even untuned, I said they don't walk on me, I don't do any racing on a dyno the damn straps hold me back, the dyno guys are always the ones with the excuses when they get beat either on the street or the track, it takes alot bigger cammed car than a 22x to walk me and checking my valvesprings never enters my mind.
