Default Please post your cam specs w/patriot ls6 heads!

I'm wanting to put a big cam in a 346 without fly cutting.
I have Patriot ls6 style heads 62cc chambers 2.055 1.60 valves.

What cams are you running, and what are your cyl head specs?

Thanks

I got their LS6 243 heads with 2.02 and 1.57 valves. I had them milled 10 thousands and my cam is TR224 114 LSA. The combustion chamber is around 62cc's.

LS6 style or 243's? Are they milled at all? Flycutting? PR length?

Just curious

LS6, not milled (59cc), no fly-cutting, stock pushrod length...

I have unmilled 59cc 2.055" I LS6 style PP heads with the TSP 231/237 .598/.595 112 cam, but have JE pistons with reliefs. They should clear stock pistons just fine though.

Previous- Patriot LS6 heads, 2.02/1.57 valves, with a Futral F13

Now- Patriot stage III LS6 heads, 2.08/1.60 valves, with a comp 244/248 .612/.615 113lsa

Did a H/C a couple weeks back for a guy: Patriot stage II LS6 heads, 2.02/1.57 valves with a TSP 231/237 .598/595 112lsa. This seems to be a pretty common setup. Its stought to.

From what I see here, the 235 240 600 609 111.5 should clear fine. I wonder why TSP said no. I really don't want to pull the heads, but I don't want to bend valves either.

I would really double check the clearance before I fired it up, even it that meant pulling the heads. Better to do it now to make sure, then later when your replacing everything you broke/bent wishing you would have done before. Thats a big cam.

Unfortunately I agree with you. I just put these heads on, and I really don't feel like fighting the headers and the head studs again right now. I may just have to wait a while.
