Default advice on a few more things for cam install

-Is the ls2 timing chain acceptable for use with a TR 224 224 563 563 112 cam setup or is the JWIS chain needed/much better?

-Should a person replace the cam and crankshaft sprockets as well? My car has 31,000 miles on it...

-Should I buy an extra oil pump pickup tube o-ring?

thanks for any help..

Hmm so you got a corsa catback now eh VADER LOL. Have to hear that ,thinking of one for the vert maybe next year..a bit too broke this year obviously!

So is that a new cam or is CK stepping up?
I would change the oil pump if you have the stock 99 in there.Remember we changed out mine. Good piece of mind but it was a pain and did take some extra time.I also changed out my cam and crank sprockets to stronger ones.

If you haven't actually bought the cam have my b1 for sale shortly..More future nitrous and super friendly with its .221/.221/.558/.558/114 lsa. I got lingenfelter gt7 cam now for the twins.

Thanks for the tips Al. Ya, I would get 918's with pushrods and oil pump and timing chain, etc.

So when are we installing the hair dryers? Have to come down and visit you and do an install all at the same time. Get the barbecue going and tell Shelly to buy some good steaks.

Think forgot some good pushrods and have to decide if want titanium retainers with those 918s..Pretty sure the titanium retainers let the engine rev up a bit faster than the stock ones.
