Question What Oil Filter To Use? AC PF59 discontinued?

For my 98 Z28 I can't seem to find the AC PF59 oil filter, and the auto store I was at has it as a discontinued part. Does anyone know if there is another AC Delco filter that has replaced the PF59? Not sure what other brands this store carries, but what other filters are people using (specifically long filters, not the short stock ones). Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

just look up the stock AC filter for the gen 3 trucks, PF 59 was what my 2000 Silverado used, I don't know on the 06 I have. Haven't done an oil change yet. The truck 5.3 and 6.0's is the larger replacement for the LS1.

They replaced the PF59 with the smaller PF46 for the trucks as well as the cars.

You can also use the UPF 44. It is an excellent filter. That is what many Corvette owners use. This is the only UPF filter that is still made.

the PF 59 is if you want a filter thats a little longer than the 46. But if it's discontinued, I guess I'll be back to the 46's.

PF 61, this is the longer one, brings the motor up to 6 full quarts capacity.

So instead of using the PF59, you used the PF61 and it works ok?

I use the Mobil M1 206 which is a long filter but more expensive than most of the others.

K&N 1007 short one, only because I'm lowered. $12.00 though.

the PF61 wasn't in stock, so I used the K&N HP2006. A little pricey, but I guess it's worth it when it comes to engine protection.
