I know people say peak but look at a ms3 dyno sheet. Once you get up there in the RPMS, in a manual car, every shift your making BIG power.

if your shifting at 6500rpm give or take you drop what 1500rpm so a big cam so will pull a little one with a 4,000 stall . Also that type of power isnt being made at part throttle only when WOT .
I have a big flattappet compcam XE in a s10 with a 355ci and NO STALL, but 4.10 gears /th350 I LOPED away from carS from a light easy , had some integra going through his gears from a stoplight and i just 1/2 throttled my factory 1800stall away from him granted its not the best combo but it still will light the tires at will and im probly only 300rwhp
A V8 with a large cam will have more than enough of drivability torque them either downshift or flash your 4000 stall and

I'm thinking I will lose some lowend as opposed to stock with an MS3, but I can't floor it off of idle on the street as is, so it won't hurt me at all. Then I should make big power once it starts winding out.

I was tring to make a point . High stalling A4/ A3/A2 do not load the engine as bad as a T56 unlocked . Hence area under the curve the manual guys chime in and **** with auto guys camshaft selection
If a t56 car was at 3000rpm in 3rd gear and raced a 4000+stalled auto at the same mile per hour with the same camshafts ,mods which would win by 100mph

Now if you're running a Pro Thruster 4600, then the cam recommendations change completely. But with a tight 3200 stall, more mid-range torque is going to get the car down the track quicker than putting in a top-end biased cam.

Why would anyone run from a 3rd gear LOW rpm roll?
Any type of roll with anyone your around 4krpms at MINIMUM. The ms3 car would show your its tailights no?
From a dig also.
right or wrong?

Same thing goes with cylinder heads. The high flow number at .650" lift might sell heads, but the flow at .350-.500" is what normally matters the most.

If you got the MS3 camshaft just use 4.10s ''Dont Fear The Gear ''
your car has less weight less offline torque will help you roll out with out spinning on the street
