This is false. I ran the X4 with stock untouched ls6 heads and didnt have any trouble. I even hit the limiter a couple times. I put down 425/370 here in AZ with mids in sig.

I had one in my 04 GTO...M6 with 3.91 gears and TSP Stage II Darts. It idled very well, drove great and pulled like a freight train. I just wrecked the car and the engine will be going into an Fbody soon.

3.73 = 70mph @ 1700rpm
4.10 = 71mph @ 1900rpm

i dont know how much of a difference that would make..
i want to say its not much, but i dont really know.
maybe someone else can say?

and how much of a difference it will be in gas with that monster cam you're looking at?

i think that would affect your mileage more than the gears.
but again.. i really dont know..

yeah.. gas is > 3.50 per gallon here..

At the time I had the stock C5 exhaust on the car. That is why he's saying it idles close to stock. There is a big difference now that I have the Stinger system on there. You can here how lumpy it is.

BTW my heads are for sale cheap if someone wants to fix the one head.
