Default Waste of money or advantage?

I'm getting ready to install my goodies: 90/NW90, March pulley, Cometic .40 gaskets. My question is, are the gaskets that important or not? I'm currently running LS6 stage II heads milled to .030 w/ stock head gaskets at 10:8:1cr. Will I benefit by switching them out? I need pros and cons.

Pro - It will tighten the quench area and raise compression resulting in more power.

Con - The .040 gasket combined with the .030 milled heads may cause piston to valve clearance issues.

Installing thinner gaskets will reduce piston to valve clearance.
Could be that your G5X2 will kissy kissy the pistons with that gasket, with a .030 mill the PTV is already tight.

Also you have more then 10.85:1
I would say your closer to 11.25:1 compression if you have LS6 casting heads milled .030.

That's what I was told by Lou at LG himself. I figure it was about 11:1:1 before the flycutting. Now I'm really confused. I don't want to take the heads off if It's not worth it.

Oh I didn't know there was flycuting done.
I know those at LG are good but the math dosent lie.
Unless your piston is crazy and in the hole like 10 thousands.
Most LS1's are out of the hole 6-8 thousands.
So when you do the math you have to do a -.007 on avarage.
Some use a -.008 but the difference is almost nothing.

you are going to be about 11.5 static compression if you run those I would guess.
