It measures approx 5/8" dia. x 4" long. I am pretty sure that it's Metric, which would make it 16mm Dia. (, and close to 101 mm long. I would guess it's a M16x2 bolt x 100mm long (approx 4").

What car are you asking for? The one out of my C5 is only 4 inches long (101-100mm). 120mm would be nearly 4-3/4" long. I think the Corvettes may have a shorter bolt because they have a shorter dampner.

I think I need the one that's longer to get the pulley started w/o stripping the threads.

Thnx

The 120mm one listed above is not the stock size, it's the longer bolt used to install/uninstall the crank pulley.

I highly recommend contacting 618Hawk about his pulley install tool!! There are many stories around here about the longer bolt method and threads stripping or bolts breaking. I'm one of those stories and let me tell you that the money you spend on 618Hawk's installer (I did the second time) is well worth it. In fact I didn't even need a cheater bar to install the pulley with his tool, just stuck some lube on the threads of the tool (under the slider not in the crank threads), put my wrench on there and it slid on nice and easy.

I don't know 618Hawk so I'm not pimping my friend or anything. I replied to a couple "crank bolt" threads in the External Engine section so if you search my name in that section you can read about my experience. Good luck however you decide to go about it.

Thanks for the feedback. MY90Iroc

The bolt is a total of 4'' long with 2-1/4 of thread length M16X2.0

I currently have few made up and ready to go.

I believe I sold one a while back to a C5 user as well.

I hate to ask another question in someone else's thread, but what size is the head on the crank bolt? Is it 24mm?
