Default TRex vs. MS3 vs. F15 vs. G5X4

This is the end all of big cams thread. Post up what cam, heads, bolt ons and gear/stall you are running with. Post up your numbers and times and lets compare the bigger cams available now and see who's the best

P.S. Lets keep the "those cams are to big" comments out of this thread.

T-rex is known as the biggest, but that doesn't mean it's the best.

You need to set some goals and pick a combo to meet them. You have been all over the place with all these polls, just let use know your goals and we will help you meet them.

MS3 doesn't hold a candle to the x4 or the T-rex. Both have VIOLENT midrange tq and power.

Yes, I agree to get a custom grind after you figure out all your goals and your mods you will eventually go with. Then research the heck out of what type of grind you will need. This may involve the forum plus tuners. Good Luck!

do you just want to know about a big cam to get? or do you actually want a cam that will make you power? or are you just wondering what the biggest of these cams is?

01 ws6 trans am with bolt ons only here....stock cam, stock block, stock pistons....only external bolt ons and my tuning... 365HP and 385TQ

Nick has LS6 heads, and the G5X2 cam and is making ~430rwhp and close to that of tq....biggest won't make the most power all the time. Its all in the setup

how do you figure??? the those are all comp grinds, and the X4 and MS3 are most likely very similar in specs. the reason for the power differences between the cams, is quite possibly just combination issues.

This isn't about a cam for me, I was just curious as to what everyones numbers are. If you don't have any numbers or times to post, then don't feel the need to post

I'm going to go with the MS3 and LS6 CNC heads from TSP

Where has the ms3 proved in cant produce big #s?

It produces big #s on CAM only applications on LS6 cars.
01 ZO6 put down 433rwhp cam only.
03 ZO6 put down 441rwhp cam only.
Stock ls6 untouched heads.

With TSP's ls6 heads for 899 it put down 468rwhp.

Dont ls1's also crack 400 even 410 with the ms3 cam.

Why do some hate on the ms3? and some love it to death!

I don't know-I have seen many good numbers from the MS3 and maybe 1 or 2 people who didn't see as high of numbers as they hoped. Maybe those with the lower numbers aren't running a full list of bolt ons or just get a shitty tune on it.
