Default Patriot heads and nitrous.

Looking to buy a set of Patriot LS6 heads this week and just wanted to know if I go with the 59cc heads how hi it going to raise my compression?
And will it affect me spraying a 120hp shot at it? Still good on the street on pump gas?

Nitrous loves compression you shouldnt have to worry at all, I see you are running a DP so I would think you already upgraded your pump. You are fine. As far as compression, have the heads been milled? What head gasket are you going to run? Stock shortblock I'm assuming?

I believe its about 11.7 to 1 just make sure you tune is correct and it will be fine.

IIRC, 6cc's of compression = 1 full point of compression (apprx). This makes a LS1 5.7 compression 11:1. I just sold a set of 59cc heads and my comp was 11:1

How is that?
59 cc on LS1 will yield 11.38:1
and 61.5 cc will yield 11.01:1

Both with .054 gasket and -.007 piston deck height.

Default ....

hmmm man has my formula been messed up.... i thought the stock gaskets were .032 and it was -.001 on the deck. I could be totally wrong though.....
I just have mine calc'ed in excel. I guess the difference is that Im using a .032 gasket and your using a .054 and I think the deck height is -.001 I could be wrong on these figures though........

Graphite are .053/.054 compressed
MLS are .055
Piston deck height on stock blocks range from -.005>-.008 on average
(The 4 I've owned and measured were all -.007), that is why I used that figure.

hmmm actually no I was right on mine 8.97 to 1 oh well I must have done something wrong in that other calc....

hahaha my formula has been wrong all along..... oh well that just means my compression is even lower than I though. Even better for my FI motor...lol
