I'd ditch the double roller and get an LS2 chain. You'd save you some money and a headache when it comes to the install. I bought one for my TRex install coming up and was talked into an LS2 instead.

How many miles are on your car? If you're like me and over 75k you may want to look into some replacement OE lifters or possibly some Morel's or Lunati's if you have some money to spend. However, you'll have to pull the heads to do this so add head bolts and gaskets to the list if you go this route.

Are you planning on spraying this cam? You might want to upgrade your injectors as well, I've heard the SVO injectors and Lucas 42's are a good upgrade. You'll save yourself a re-tune if you do them now.

I don't think all those things I mentioned are NECESSARY for your install, but it's the route I'll be taking.
If you do it right the first time your ******* won't pucker up every time you nail the gas

Yeah I'm plannin on sprayin. More than likely after I get the Fast 90/90 though. I assume I'm definately gonna need bigger injectors and a 255lph fuel pump of some sort anybody got any recommendations for the injectors or just go with the 42s? Cars got 65k on it so I'm pretty close to the 75k so I might wanna go ahead and do the lifters too?

i wouldn't worry about swapping lifters with that particular cam, it's pretty mild and probably won't see a shiftpoint over 6,800. also, changing lifters requires pulling the heads, which to me says - replace with something better. i couldn't go through all the work of pulling the heads only to put the stock pos back on it.

i have 57k on my factory shortblock, still stock heads, cam, etc. i am going with a very radical cam that will demand some valvetrain attention. i am more worried about ptv than i am collapsing a lifter. i will have 7k+ shift points, but i am not afraid!

I might wait till I put on my PRC ls6 heads from tsp to do the lifters then. Hopefully everything will hold out until then

if tuned properly it will just be a much more powerful attention getter that gets less mileage.

Ya I originally planned on doing the lifters with stock heads but figured I might as well do it all at once so I don't have to pay for the install twice. It sucks having to wait even longer for the install!!!
