is this normal???
I have a 01 trans am with hooker long tubes, ory, k&n intake. well the problem is when i try to smoke my tires my rpm dont go over 2000, but when i take off rpms go up like normal. is this normal??? i dont have traction control on my car

its an auto. i use the brake to burn out. it only does this on certain streets. could it be the street??? my brothers mustang burns out nice on the streets i cant. he said that his car did the same and that he changed plugs and that worked could it be that????? i didnt have anything done to the pcm

Best thing to do would be try that when your car is cold in the morning. If it still acts that way when cool you may have a tranny issue. If it works okay you may have just had the same problem I did. My car went out and ran in the low 12s a couple days later.

If you are trying to burnout while holding the brakes it will be hard. If your car has abs then brake pressure is being applied to all four tires.
You should purchase a line lock to hold the front tires only and then you can light the back tires up at will.
