you will need atleast a 2 arm puller. You can rent a puller from autozone for cheap.

I used a two arm puller. I believe it was a 4in? anyway the basterd did not reach all the way. So I had to get creative cause the crank bolt stuck out to far. I had to unscew the crank bolt and put a wrench arcoss the hole so that I could use that for the end of the puller.

If you are installing a new double row chain you can use the old sprocket to push the new one on. If not, use a large deep well socket or a brass knocker.

What you want to do is put the new crank sproket on first then put the old one on facing the new one. Insert the crank bolt and tighten it down which will force the new sproket into place. Make sure the Crank and Cam gears/sprokets are seated as much as possbile and are in line. If they are seated proplerly they will also be in line of course. Remember to line up the dots on the gears themselves not the key way dot on the crank gear!! If you do that kiss your vavles goodbye. Rembember to manually turn the crank and make sure you don't have any interferance anywhere just as a precaution.

so i'm stuck again, i've got the slp double roller and there is a bearing with rubber on one side and metel on the other-Where does that go?
i think it goes on the snout between the sprocket because it's two piece, not between the sprocket and motor.

Are you refering to the plate that holds the cam in block and keeps it from walking back and forth.

Yeah you need the oil pump to clear the timing chain.

Yes , if not your chain will hit the oil pump. Also you might have to get your pulley machined alittle bit. I think it in the instructions with timing chain set.

O.k., slp already machines thier pulley's so you should be good with that. That bearing somehow go's between the cam and keeper plate. Mine is like that but it's been some time since I put it in there.
