Default bolts and gaskets...

So I am getting ready to do a H/C swap and I will need new head bolts and new head gaskets....

I was looking at the Arp head bolts for $160

and Cometic head gaskets for $160...

Kinda pricey...

What are you guys using?

Links would be great!

I would get the ARP's, as you can re-use them. The OEM's are torque to yield, and are junk after 1 use.

Unless you plan on doing a bunch of head swaps, or large shots of N20, or a lot of boost why bother with spending the money on ARP's? You can buy 3 or 4 sets of stock bolts before you equal the amount of money spent on ARP's.

I'll be getting ARP studs when I swap heads for a couple reasons. 1. better clamping than bolts 2. no more cleaning bolt holes out when the heads come off next time.
I'll also be swapping to .04 cometics to get the quench right.
