1998 LS1 #806 heads on a iron 6.0 block??
I've been told by numerous people that when running the 806 perimeter bolt heads that you have to run stock gaskets due to a little "notch" on the underneath of the head. Running any other head gaskets ('99-later or cometics, etc) would cause a leak. Anyways, so my question is can you run these 806 heads on a iron 6.0 block and use stock '98 head gaskets?? I'm not sure if you could or not since the difference in bore size. Any help?
thanks!

Well the problem I see with running stock 98' head gaskets is the the bore size is going to be too small.
I'd image somebody out there makes something that will work but I don't know who. Sorry.

Yeah but I know people have done it I have saw it listed before in some sigs. The 5.7 head gasket is way to small. All I feel you need is a single layer or composite type gasket.
Anyone with any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
