what to replace with cam install? what i really want to know is do i need to replace the oil pump and timing chain? thanks

You Do not have to , but you should replace at least the chain

thanks that is what i was really wondering i didnt know if there were really any problems with the oil pump or not. i really didnt want to spend money if i didnt have to

nothing really wrong with it, There known too fail without notice. I would just go ahead and put chain,ls6 ported pump too get it over with exspecially higher milage car.

cam
springs
retainers
ls6 oil pump
ls2 timing chain
underdrive pully
ls6 intake if you dont have one.

This is the rout i went. Took me a little while to gather up all the parts, but it will be well worth it.
