If you are going with a big nitros shot go with the 408. I think we all know what can be accomplished with an Iron block if not look at the Supras pushing 1000K RWHP on a stock block. The 408 can pretty much take a grenade to it and keep ticking. If your going to do a SC or TT set up go with the 402. Why you ask. No matter what or how much boost your running it is a gradual rise in pressure being build in the engine to the bottom end. The big shot of Nitros is immediate. The best way I can put it its like a fight. You get hit by you drunk buddy (SC/TT) you know its coming and its not so bad cause he's probably your size and he is drunk, you get hit by Tyson, while you know its coming your jaw has never experienced such violence. (Nitros 200+ shot)

To be more specific Im just talking about using an LS3 short block in and LS1 F car. I plain to go with some TFS235's and a Vic Jr intake. Cam will be a custom grind so.... just curious what headachs I can expect. the sticky I found was talking about a full intake to pan LS3 swap so a lot of the info didnt apply and left me confused.

hey.
I dont wanna hijack the topic here, but seeing as we are talking about 408 strokers...

i have a 2007 silverado 6.0L. Who makes 408 stroker kits? i found a few, but would be scared to order from them (kinda junky looking kits with named parts i have never heard of).
thanks
