i would look ingto replacement lifters since you have a few miles on your motor, or the LS7 lifters...

If you dont mind my asking.....

How much did that cam package cost you?

I have narrowed down my cam selection to 3 different bumpsticks, but would like a ballpark figure before I call TR.

Thanks,

If you are going to install new lifters, then you will need new Head Gaskets and bolts as well. The heads must be removed on these motors to replace lifters.

Other than that.. unless you already own the More Performance tool, you won't be able to purchase it. They are out of business and nobody has them in stock anymore... why they even continue to list it on their web page is beyond me.

you'll need some new radiator fluid, you don't HAVE to change your oil at that time... I've done it several times without changing the oil. You need no cam-lube, just lube it down with some fresh oil and stab it in.

Check the link in my sig.

I recommend picking up spare valve stem retainers/locks when you get the new oil pump O-ring at your local dealer. They are very easy to lose.

I would go with the Patriot Sping kit. Hell of a lot cheaper than the Crane stuff, and just as good if not better. Also use the 5/16 wooden dowel. 2 dollars from home deopt, and get then crane cam sping tool..
