Default cam surging

well guys just got home from riding around after new cam install and tune(specs in sig)....NICE LOPE!!!! only thing is how long does it take to learn idle? put it in reverse twice and cut off? WTF!!! Also it seems that when i Full throttle my rpms flucuate(spelling) and at idle it surges some. details please!!!

I would say give it like 200 miles to learn, if not I guess take it back and see if they can do more tuning.

sounds like tuning issue, shouldnt take longer than say 150 miles for pcm to relearn

With a good tune it doesnt need to learn, it should run well straight off. Id take it back.

I agree with the others. The BLM (Block Learning Mode) will take a few miles to re-learn everything. But as stated, having it tuned now will fix everything immediately.

Very nice cam specs by the way!

Give it a couple of days. You might want to check and see how it runs with the ac off/on. Mine doesn't like to crank with ac on. Drive it around, see how it runs and tell Jeff. They are good people at RPM and will work with you till your happy. Thats why I suggested you take it out to a local track and make sure you like your shift points and it also lets you see how she runs full throttle.

yeah Jeff at RPM told me to bring it back no problem....he said its hard to nail the first time. The only thing about it is that its like a hour away.

check this out dude... #'s are impressive(i think) basline with everything except cam was 317hp after cam 367hp
