If your buildin a 1k plus hp engine I would invest in a better block. A lot of people act like the cast iron block is indestructable. Not So. Heads lift, sleeves crack....iron or alum.

You know what's crazy is that this was on the first page so I thought it was a current thread but know that I look back at it I was the first to post since June of last year. I don't know WTF happened.

But to get back on the old topic does an iron block only weigh 60 lbs more? I figured it would be closer to double that.
