Default Friday June 30th will be a sad day

NOT......

The parts have been ordered and my car is heading to the shop this Friday. It has been on the road now for 8 years with nothing more than a RKK sport exhaust and a cags deletion harness .

That will all change at the end of July

I have picked my poison and am chompin at the bit. I have listed the items I am having installed below.

PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L Heads
Rollmaster Double-Roller Adjustable Timing Set
TSP Ported LS6 Oil Pump
TPS Magic Stick 3
Hardened Pushrods
PRC Platinum Springs
Comp Cams "Comp R" Hydraulic Roller Lifters (might change)
SLP LS6 Intake
Ported 78mm Throttle Body
Jet Hot Longtubes
TSP Cat Y-Pipe
Qtec Electric Cutout
Magnaflow Catback
TSP Lid & K&N Filter
LS7 Clutch Package
Pro 5.0 Shifter
4.10's & Aluminum Diff Cover
Taylor Spiro-Pro wires
NGK TR55 Plugs
Underdrive pulley
SLP Bilstein Shocks
BMR Tubular SFC's
BMR STB
BMR F 32mm Sway Bar
BMF R 21mm Sway Bar
TT2's 17x9.5 275's F & 19x11 315's R
Dyno Tune

The car has around 85,000 miles on it. I’m hoping for around 420 to 440 rwhp after the mods have been installed.

Now for the question???

What do you guys think the rwhp numbers will be?

The closet to the actual output will receive drum roll please............................................ ......

Stock 1998 LS1 Exhaust manifolds with 85k plus miles and that’s not all.
You will also receive a rusted crappy RKK sport catback. I know it sounds too good to be true. (Winner pays shipping and handling)

All kidding aside what kind of number should I expect from this package? I will post the results when I get the car back.

Thanks

424rwhp/403rwtq is my guess. Dont forget some bigger injectors. FMS 30# should do the job.

Spend the money on the Fast 90/90 setup instead of the LS6 and 78, you'll be 15-25 hp happier.

Yes, teh comp 850s have a much better track record than the 875s, plus you wont need adjustable rockers. You could also go with cheaper melling or even summit branded hydraulic roller lifters and save a few bucks. Im having good results with my mellings.

Thats what ia was thinking. Im leaving the lifter selection up to the shop. I think he mentioned the Mellings.

I struggled with that desission. I decided to upgrade the supension with the cash i saved. I hate making compromises but i had a set buget to stick to

15-25 hp or new F & R shocks & swaybars.

I still have the original shocks with 85K plus miles on them.

Sounds like she'll be a 'very kinky girl' when you're all done.
I'm in NoVa as well. Curious, what shop is doing your work?

Yep I am looking forward to getting the car back. It should be a night and day difference

I modded my 93 one item at a time and those mods were only Bolton items. No huge gains and doing them one at a time didn’t really fell the difference. Not this time

you should go with the 90/90 set up. the 78 is not that much bigger than stock. and you need bigger injectors and some headers. but that is gonna be 1 sweet ride.

I forgot to add the injectors to the list. I Think we are putting in 37lb injectors. As far as headers I will be going with Jet hots.

Now i just have to wait for it to get done

Get the SVO 36#er's I think that they will be more like a 42-44 on the LS1.
