Default service vehicle light

well i took off my tachometer and put it back on and then the service vehicle light came on. i took it to autozone and there was no fault code for it. i have 60,000 miles on the car. someone told me that on ls1's u have to replace the timing chain when the car reaches that amount of miles. is this true? has anyone encountered this problem before??

In the back of your owners manual it will say the required services for X amount of miles. Either way that would definately not make the SES light come on. Could just be something faulty in the light itself if there is no codes. Was it an aftermarket tach that you took off and put back on, and why did you do this? Could help answer the question better for others.

He's talking about the service vehicle not the SES light. 2 different things. Autozones scanned for SES codes thats why they didnt read anything. I have the same like come on intermitently. Dont know why?

The service vehicle soon light comes on because of BCM/electrical problems.

Dealerships can read those codes or anyone else that may have a Tech 2.
