Tsp cam?
Tsp cam? Texas Speed 228R Camshaft is this cam good for my set up im getting Lt's ory and a converter installed and wanted to get cam done at same time i was looking at either the 228r or the 224r and would it be a good idea to get the pacage with the cam the springs and the pushrods for $589.99 or can i jsut go with the cam

To change a cam you'll need:
Cam
Springs (either 918 Comp Cam) or PRC duals
7.425 Comp Cam push rods
Basic cam change gasket kit (with crank bolt)
Ls2 timing chain (if you have over 50K miles on your motor)
You'll need a spring change tool, oil, filter, assembly lube, RTV gasket sealant, 10mm ratchet wrench, breaker tube and bar (to beak loose crank bolt), pulley removal tool, assorted sockets and wrench.
As a guide read http://www.ls1howto.com multiple times.
once it is finished you still have to tune (wideband dyno being the best)
So in all budget at least $1500 to do it properly, along with lots of patience and a first aid kit for your poor hands
