Thumbs up Help, possible new cam choice.

Well, Ive been driving around on the TSP 231/231 for a couple summers now, and I enjoy the cam immensly. However I believe I want something that would net me a better 1/4 mile number.

There's so many cam choices out there, and Im sure the ones Im reading of are only the tip of the iceburg and theres alot of smart guys on here that could help lead me in the right direction.

This is what my plan is for next spring/summer.

12bolt rear (unknown gear choice)
different torque converter (unknwon brand & stall)
tubular a-arms
crossmember mounted adjustable torque arm with loop
new cam (unknwon brand and specs)

If I could, I would really like a hand in picking what would be the best combo of converter/gears/cam for optimal 1/4 mile times.

Ive got PP stageII LS6 style heads, with .040 cometics right now, but I am willing to flycut pistons if necisssary.

230/236 .598/.598 111 lsa - Thats the cam I'm going with should be a nice choice...

But I have stock heads...so...you could go with something pretty big...its really up to you...

Yeh, my heads are 59cc with 2.055 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust.

From what Ive read tho, bigger isnt always better.

I want something that'll net me the best possible 1/4mile ET that I can fit inside my car with the stock pistons.

Yeh, again, Im not sure HP numbers mean much either.

Im not looking for a dyno queen, I want a car that puts the numbers down at the track.

Yank Pro Thruster 4400 converter
4:10 gear
FAST 90/90 ported
234/242 .598/.610 110LSA +4

More DCR than your current cam, lots of area under the curve with outstanding top end. If you were running an M6, I'd probably suggest +2 advance, but with an A4, you will go quicker with +4.
