You can get LS6 springs for a whole lot less than you can get 918s. The difference is a lot more than $50.

You can run the LS6, just shim them to .050 from coilbind. (that increases pressure capability)

yep, I can get LS6 springs for $65. The 918's run around $170 plus $200+ for Ti retainers.

I ran a B1 cam with LS6 springs and had no problems.

The yellow LS6 springs are very cheap, around $45, compared to $160 for the 918s.

I'm looking to track down a GT2-3, or 212/218 .565 115ls cam, either of which I hope will work well. Matched up to some mildly ported 243 heads I'm hoping to pickup 50rwhp.

I ran yellow LS6 springs in my C5 with the LPE GT2-3, no issues at all at .570 lift. I still have the stock LS2 (LS6) springs in my C6 along with SLP 1.85 rockers to put be at .570 lift. Again,no issues.

Comp 915 springs are not the same as LS6 springs, the 915s have more space between each coil and a different wind diameter (I have both here).

Looks like I'll be running some LS6 springs with the B1. I just got a set in the mail yesterday.
