can't get damper off!! Testing my temper!
And as for these people saying you can warp the crank.....answer me this. Has anyone done that yet?
Be sure and replace the crank seal if you do use some heat to help get it off. It may leak if you dont.

Try greasing the threads of the puller and put some grease on the end of the puller bolt where it rotates against the crank snout. Another thing to try is spraying some WD-40 around the crank snout (front and back of the pulley) about three times (once every hour or so for three hours). Maybe the penetrating action as well as the lubricating action will help.
I've had my pulley off three times. The first time it was really hard to break loose . . . took me about four to six hours. The next two times, it was a breeze. I'll be doing it again within the year once I get my 408 built. The first time is the hardest.
All my best,
Steve
