ok fusk the lifters, and the winner is the MS4 with an lsa of 110 PRC Spring Kit & Pushrod Package, Rollmaster Double-Roller Adjustable Timing Set, ported ls6 oil pump, Cam gasket and bolt kit. Total is $948.48, and another $350 or more for the tune.
So my qustion now is what should I degree the cam to? I think it should be 110+3 but I'm not sure.

Thanks, "Old Man" sure would have sucked to get all that installed and find out that I have a PTV issue .(HAHA that would have been great having to take the heads off anyway to solve that problem and not have the lifters to change out while the heads was off.) Looks like this youngin still has some things to learn. Anywho what would be an acceptable lsa and degree for the MS4?

but you also have heads in your set-up, right? I really remember reading in a post not long ago that someone from TSP said that the ms4 didn't require fly cutting on the stock heads.

I have the MS4 on a 111 lsa. I installed it dot to dot on stock heads. No problems with valve clearance. I do have to get new injectors as I'm maxing out mine and I don't even have headers yet. So if you don't have 42# injectors in your list, it will probably be a good idea. Right now my Stock Manifolds are severely limiting the cam. But since I'm planning going with 1 7/8s over the winter/early next year I'm not concerned.

I got the tune done at GMR Speed but we are not done yet. On 1st gear at 6,592 rpm I'm at 99% injector duty cycles, on 2nd gear at 6,428 rpms I have 104% injector duty cycles. Without a tune it wasn't not drivable, I did not unkooked the battery so I'm sure that didn't help. I didn't want to drill the tb so I use hp tuners and got it pretty good but I think I'm going to use the set idle screw in the tb trick to see if I can make it better. I still have a bit of surging and bucking at low rpms. So it has taken a bit to get use to it and adjust my driving style to the car, I've driven it to work a few times and in rush hour is fun, I get a lot of weird looks and thumbs up.
The times in sig are without the cam on street tires and 2.x 60'.

Yeah I will drill the tb and reset the pcm. The only thing is that I can't afford all this (budget is already way more then what I planned, good thing I had a little extra) and a tow down to lubbock. Do you think that the car can make it an hour and a half at highway speeds? varying the Rpms. the drive will be done two or three days after the install so the springs are broken in for the tune.
I will have them watch the injectors, if it is to crazy I will just have to baby it for a while. Only have 2500 to play with and the clutch isn't being nice.

The MS4 and T3 are both good camshafts but are two different setups. The MS4 is going to make more top-end power and requires the right setup to drive it on a daily basis. I DD the MS3 for a couple of years and loved it. It will limit the head choice down the road unless you want to flycut the pistons. The T3 will have more mid-range but not the peak power of the MS4 and will be a better DD cam for alot people looking for this type of cam(I DD my setup). It will provide a wider variety of head choices down the road if that's what your planning.

What is the right set-up for the MS4?
