My car is smoking!!!!
I just dropped back in the motor and tranny back in my hawk. All sensors and torq secs were followed. Nothing was left undone or connected. At start up, the engine ran fine with 80psi of oil pressure. After about 10-15 minutes of running the car started smoaking and the rev limiter started going higher and higher. When the rpms start dropping, the car turns off. Could it be my Map sensor, tps or does it need more tuning?

do you mean the cars revs started dropping and then just died out? sounds like a big vaccum leak if that is what the case is... are you sure the intake was properly put on? go back and check to see if there is anything that is leaking onto the exaust... just some places to start. did you do headers? headers will smoke a good bit until all of that stuff burns off

Well she has every single bolton possible. With the exception of electric water pump. I installed Kooks lt's and is openheader just for the start up. When I turn on the car she starts idleing at about 2200-2500rpm's. A big as cloud of smoak comes out, and after about 30sec the rpm's drop and just dies out. Any taker? Thanks 4 the help guys.

If your car smells like it is burning oil from the exhaust I would delete you PCV system, I just deleted mine and it stopped my car from smoking, Your o2s might be bad also. Is it throwing any SES codes?

I did all the work myself. It aint the 1st time either. When i cranked the engine for the first time after the install, it idled fine and there wasent any smoke. After about the 5th crank, thats when the it would idle high right after start-up. After it idles high it starts to lower and thats whe it bogs out and dies. When that started, thats when the smoke came into play. Also the pvc system has already been deleted.

As far as the smoke goes, when you installed your rockers did you use and thread sealer on the bolts? I made the mistake of not using any and one aftermarket heads the oil will actually leak all the way down in the combustion chamber. For the poor running, has the car been dyno tuned after all the mods?
