IMO you were on the right track when you were looking UNDER 240's

There's a little company to your right called MTI that has been in the EFI business longer than most of these shops have been in existence- and they swear by big motors/small cams, and make GOOD power......

Then again I see people on here all the time use cams in the 240's- 250's range, and only make SLIGHT power increases (compared to other 402/408's) ...... We also don't know what heads you are going with....IMO if you can afford a GOOD head (which should be easy now with the L92 stuff available now) then you can "afford" to go smaller on the cam and STILL get good power out of it. 220ish cam on a 408 like previously stated is TOOOOOO small
but something in the mid 230's should give you what you are looking for.

Good luck with your build.... Im hoping to be able to offer up some real world numbers on my L92 408 in the very near future

Already purchased heads, 317 casting heads. Im not looking for huge numbers, and I feel that they will fit it all nicely. Thanks for the info, i'll have to look into mti some. Forgot they existed lol.

that sounds like a great cam for your setup and your springs should last quite awhile with that lift.

Yea, its a baby cam, but im driving the truck daily and dont want to over-do it.

As for the springs, lets hope so! Im using 918's with titanium retainers.
