Thinking about a cam, cam only guys give input
Ok so I have some extra money and I want to do a cam.
Curious on the different set ups people have, what they put down and avg mpg.
My combo right now is: Longtubes, x pipe with magnaflow, ported TB, lid, free mods, and a 3400 stall with 2.2 STR.
Plans: LS6 intake
Right now: 340 whp
My goal is 400 whp and call it a day.
So my question is, what different set ups have you guys done and what gains have you noticed, change in drivability and MPG. thanks!

A friend put down 413 SAE rwhp on an 2000 C5 M6 with LS6 intake, LT's and Corsas. Everything else was stock including heads and throttlebody. With an auto it sounds like you'd be a bit below 400...but close.

You'd need to start looking at bigger cams if you want to make 400 rwhp through an auto. Something in the 23x/23s range.

the t2 or ^ will get you very close.400 rw through an auto is alittle more difficult but anything 390 + i'm sure would be a good running setup. remember the bigger the cam you put in the less optimum that 3400 stall will be.
