It's a 98 Z28 that was locally owned and orded from factory. THen he got rid of it to some punk kid, and it's said to have bent valve(s). I haven't checked it out myself but it's a repo. job and their asking 6,000 for it at the bank. So in a worse case senario what would i have to do to fix the bent valve problem? cost? any idea's on another route to go? I'm rather set on this car cause it looks like my 2000 z28...I just about dropped when i saw it.

btw, could i get by with just replaceing the valves? or would i be better off with a h/c from A.R.E. or one of the other place? I'm anxious to get it but i'm just trying to figure out how i can explain the heads being off of an engine with 6,500 miles on it. I want it so bad i can taste the 93 octane

hmmm see if you can take the car before you buy it and have a trusted mechanic check it out or something....if it has bent valves you could have pucked up some pistons in the process which would be even more expensive...my best bet would be have a mechanic check it out and see what he thinks....i dunno if you have a ton of extra money it might be worth it to get the car for that cheap and just throw down the extra money at the motor...who knows just thinking out loud

****, for 6k? as long as the pistons arent broken in half, go got it. do get someone to check it out though. i get a loan like your buying a 15k-dollar car and put a bad-a heads/cam on plus a stout drivetrain underneath it. good luck.

For 6k who cares if it even has an engine in it! It's worth more in parts than 6k. Pick it up, gut the hell out of it, and build a pure drag car.

Hell, If you dont get it let me know!... I might have to fly up spend a few days with Westech or someone and drive it home at very high speeds or bring a trailer. The shop needs a banner car.
