wanna change mufflers

wanna change mufflers i have a flowmaster 80 in my 2k formula. the other day while driving on the highway for about an hour the drone really started pissing me off. i want to get a muffler thats alittle more quiet, but a good sound and i would like to keep the stock tips........... suggestions????????

Re: wanna change mufflers I switched to the Magnaflow #14267. I love it. It's stainless, straight-thru design, and it sounds great without the drone.

Re: wanna change mufflers Wow, I personally think the Flowmaster 80 series is quiet. Trust me, you wouldn't even remember the drone of the flowmaster muffler if you had the SLP Loudmouth.
To answer your question, a Magnaflow or Hooker aerochamber muffler would definitely do the trick. Nice deep sound without the drone of the flowmaster. You'll also get a little more performance and their both cheap.

Re: wanna change mufflers About 3 hours ago I had a Corsa exhaust installed on my Z. At cruising speeds there is very little drone, barely more than stock. When you hit the gas well...........it's fun.
